FIRE

WHAT IS OPEN ACCESS™, AND HOW DO YOU GET THESE FIRE ALARM SIGNALS TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT?

When the fire alarm signal is received in our monitoring station, OPEN ACCESS™ fire alarm monitoring instantly & electronically retransmits all of the needed information directly to the correct fire department. Independent research proves this technology saves up to 2 minutes in emergency response times. Every single minute is crucial, considering that fire doubles in size every minute after the first four minutes. OPEN ACCESS™ fire alarm monitoring is completely compliant with all relevant Building and Fire Codes. In areas where OPEN ACCESS™ is not available, Deltacom will contact the appropriate authorities through a phone call and report this information.

HOW DO WE COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR BUILDING?

Deltcom uses ULC-approved methods of communication for the monitoring of your buildings, and this happens through the equipment we install with the fire alarm monitoring transmitter. Signals from your fire monitoring system can be sent to us through:

  • Cellular Communication
  • IP (Internet)
  • Phone Lines
  • DVACS (for legacy systems)
